Default Inspection time: need help!

Hey, my inspection runs out the end of the month, and me and dad are working on the car right now. I have a problem, me and dad are trying to figure out weather the "Jack Locater Pin" can be removed, or if its anchored to something, and needs to be a hole cut in the patch for it. Also, do you guys have any tips for my rust problem by the rear driverside door, dad figured I'd have to cut out the section, shape a piece just like it, and re-weld, is there any easier ways? thanks guys!

You can use a automotive panel adhesive (such as http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...emType=PRODUCT ) to replace the part of the door skin that is rusted, or you could just go to a pick&pull junkyard and get a new used door and paint to match. Of course its not always easy to find better parts in a junkyard.

If you don't want the locator pin just grind it off.

Ok thanks, the rust isnt on the door tho, I think its on whats called the "dog legs"? but anyways, about the pin, I want to keep it, so I'am assuming it is anchored? Nvm now, actually, I cut it off, LOL, I noticed the one on my driver side rear is missing, and the metal is smooth, so I dunno if someone cut it off, or if that was factory?

There should be four pins on the car from the factory. Maybe somebody did cut yours off. My pins were rusted off when i got the car 2 years ago. There is still frame underneath where the pins used to be, I just use the frame as a jack point.

Thanks, that will come in handy in the future. Well, me and dad did some work a few weeks ago, got the passenger side done, the hole is all patched up, leveled with bondo, then sanded, now soon I'll primer it. Today we've been working on the drivers side, which was a mess, I had to cut a 7 inch by about 3 inch hold around the rust, it wasnt entirely 6 inches tho, some spots where shorter, to it wasnt too hard. Then the wheel well, that "dog-leg" section, had to cut two sections out of that. My my, its been alot of work, and alot more to do, but its comeing along well, inspection is in a few days, I think it will fail because the footbrake wont work, but I'll figure that out I'am sure.
