Brakes Dragging on 94 Plymouth Acclaim
Hello there, im new to the site, did some searchin around but didnt really see anything that could help me so im hoping somebody here can help me...i have a 94 plymouth acclaim, auto,v6...it seem likes the front right brakes are dragging or something is not letting the wheel spin properly...i changed the pads on the front and i put a new brake caliper on the fron right side...then drove it for a little bit and had smoke comin out of the front right wheel and the caliper was glowin red...ive looked all around ti try to figure out whats wrong but i have no clue...i took and re-ddi the right side and the wheel spun fine in the air, had the fron end in the air, started the car had it in drive and the wheel was spinning great BUT the left side (drive axle) didnt start spinning til i hit the gas...but i hit the brakes and stoped and go and it stayed like that, but when i put it in reverse and then into park and then to drive again then right right side wouldnt spin period and the left side was fine...what in the world could be going on? I just wanna get this problem fix so that i can sell the car. thanks in advance!
Replace the right ruber brake line. What happens is there a metal bracket that hold the line to the strut with time rust forms between the bracket and the rubber to the point that pressure goes in but not out. Happen to me twice with different cars and first time replace the cailper and it didn't change. From I can tell it always the right front since it further from master clyinder than the left side. Should replace both side to be safe.
