I would like to know if there is anyway to find out what number my car was off the production line? What I have read in regards to the VIN, it should tell me by the last 6 numbers, or the sequential numbers, but I cant find anywhere on line as to how dodge used these numbers. I know there were only 2720 or 2970, manufactured that year ( depends on what article you read) and the last numbers on my vin is much higher. Any info would be appreciated
This lets you know, essentially, when your car came off the assembly. If you have a classic or limited-edition car, you can use this info to verify that your car indeed came off a special (and we assume smaller) assembly line.
Okay, but how do I read those last 6 numbers, what code does dodge use. the last numbers are 306384, but, there were only 2720 manufactured, how do I know what number my car was? or is there anyway of knowing? does the 06 in the serial number mead 2006? and the 384 the production number?
