My buddy just bought a 1997 Ram 1500 with a v6 3.9l magnum. The previous owner said the engine had been swapped. It still has a v6 magnum but I noticed the intake manifold only has room for one coolant temp sensor but the engine wiring harness is equipped with two plugs one for the temp sending unit and the other for the Engine temp sensor (for computer). My guess is that the engine was swapped with a newer model but they didnt swap intake manifolds. Everything online indicates '93-'97 manifolds should have 2 sensors and '98-'03 only have one sensor to do both jobs. My '01 2500 360 magnum only has one.
He has a P0118 (ECT sensor voltage to high) code currently. He has only the sending unit sensor installed and plugged in but the sensor for the computer is not there and unplugged (found the plug under the alternator)
My question is could i use a t-fitting to fit both sensors in the one hole or do you have any other solution besides getting a used manifold?

Hi sir! Question: Is selling of used items forbidden? No problem, if so. I have a rooftop AC unit for vans which I'm selling. Would like to post it here, if not forbidden. Thanks!

Hello, you seem to be a go to guy on here so I thought I would ask you a question. I have a 2001 durango 4.7 . My transmission will only do 1st and 2nd gear. 3rd just winds out after 1st and sounds like neutral. I have replaced both speed sensors, pressure sensor, tcm(used), and I checked the accumulator plate and it looks fine. I had a guy hook it to his scanner and he said there was no communication with the tcm and the sensors were all zeros. I found the pink wire on the diagram and saw that it was the connection between the pcm and the tcm. I meter tested it, it had 12v at the pcm 12 at the tcm and 12 at the c200 junction under the dash. At the PDC it has zero volts and the relay gets heated when the key stays on .I checked all 3 pink wires at the pdc and all show zero volts. I have slso tested the relay. You got anything? LOL sorry for the long post but I'm getting desperate. Thanks in advance.

I may make myself absent for a bit. Definitely from the politics section. Los Control is full of ****. I turned my badge in 30 years agog but I've cocntinued with some of my training. I knew Brian Sicknick pretty well. He's one of the people Los says didn't die.

Thank you, I was considering that at first except I have different front bumper and rear rollpan and the indy didn’t come in the Emerald green pearl like mine, and it has the tunnel the wing. It looks like the SRT more than the Indy honestly. it also has low power performance computer, and Mopar performance transmission. Is that stuff stock or aftermarket?

I have a 2000 dodge Dakota 2.5 four-cylinder engine five speed transmission. The clutch has been replaced in the truck. I’d say about six months ago. The while driving the truck the motor with this like shut down and start back up. It started happening a bunch as time went on to get longer and longer motor is shut down at that time. I was getting a P0302 code so I replaced spark plugs, spark, plug, wires, distributor cap, rotor button, the coal and that did not help. I was thinking that something was wrong with the remote the computer module so I bought a used one online before I got got it. I got a PO 320 and that just made me think that the computer module was bad so when I got the module in the mail I hooked it up and got the PO 601 saying it’s a bad module, so I said that module bad and now the trucks not running at all and puzzled. What do you think about what’s going on thank you in advance

Just an FYI the link for the 1994 ram service manual in the "2nd Generation Dodge Ram Service Manuals" thread leads to an Access Denied page.

I lurk in most of the forums, reading and learning, but not posting.
All I've ever owned were Mopars. From my '64 Chrysler Newport to my current '16 Dodge Challenger

Thanks for keeping a great forum running.

    Hello:
    ,
Can you help with a problem or point me to someone who has the expertise? I have a 2000 2500 5.9L diesel. The front speakers haven't worked since getting the truck, but the rear speakers work fine. I pulled a door panel and disconnected the speaker. There was no obvious sign of a bad speaker. I put a test light on each of the 2 terminals of the connector with the radio on and both have power. I'm confused by that since I thought one wire must be a ground. I swapped the radio with another one I had on the shelf but same results. Both wires are hot. I pulled the other door panel and same thing. Both wires are hot with the radio on. Is that normal?
