    [5th Gen : 08+]: Mysterious Coolant Leak, 2012 Grand Caravan



    Hey Gumby RT, I just wanted to let you know because of your advice on the thread listed above, I was able to locate a leak on my 2012 Ram CV van. I had already replaced the radiator, water pump, and thermostat. I did exactly as you said and shined a light under the intake and I found coolant pooling in the valley undeath the housing. So I removed the intake and pulled the oil filter housing/ oil cooler off, If used my air hose and blew air inside the unit after I blocked the coolant holes on the bottom and I could hear air leaking.. There was a plastic piece the inserted in the bottom of the oil cooler and it was almost completely broken. I was so relieved I found the problem. Got a new aluminum oil filter housing and put everything back together and no more leaks. So I just wanted to tell you THANK YOU for the advice you gave on this thread.
