Default Traded my Pontiac for another Dodge!!

:mullet:

Very excited to have found this deal. I picked this Grand Am GT up in August for $1500 with blue book being over $4000 because of mileage. It had it's share of issues and I never found the inspiration to fix anything so I just let it go and drove it the 2 miles to work and back and we used the Durango for anything other driving. I've had it listed on craigslist for about a month now for $3,000 or asking to trade for a pickup. Well 2 days ago a guy texted me asking if I'd be interested in trading for a 2003 Ram with 107,000 on it and I got all of the information. Granted the truck does need some work cosmetically, but mechanically it's sound except for needing rear brakes and I have to check into the C.E.L. I know it has something to do with the EGR system. It's just a work truck edition, but she looks pretty good with the 06-08 chromies on it.

First plan is stripping the back bumper and grill and repainting them the right way to paint isn't flying off of them. Then I'm planning on niteshading the tails, blacking out the headlight housings, tinting the front windows, and dropping the rear a couple inches. It's only got the 3.7L in it so I'm not going to waste my time with performance. Just don't see the purpose with a V6. Any easy transplants or is it all going to be too much work to be worth it??

I ended up getting this truck for $1700 total after all said and done figuring in that I spent $1500 on the car, gave the guy $100 today so he could transfer plates and what not, and $100 in repairing a few things on the car.

Anyways, here are some pictures of the truck, and sime of the car I traded for it.

Left the house with this:

I like it, the 3.7 should be okay with the regular cab since I have the same engine in my quadcab Dakota. Not much out there performance wise for this motor though.

So, you actually paid $1,600 for it? The other $100 was after the fact? Sounds like a steal! What's the KBB on the truck?

Good deal! Honestly the V6 is an alright motor as long as you keep it up but putting anything more than a set of headers and a K&N cold air intake on it would be a waste. Just let it breathe and it will unlock all the power you need.

Looks nice, those wheels really do complement it well. but the frame that's visible through the rear wheel wells looks kind of orange. I hope that's just a lighting effect and not rot.
