Hello I am a new member as of today because I need some help from some of you guys that know alot about engines and older ones at that like mine!!!

I had a mechanic do a compression check and he says I have two burned valves!
MY GAS mileage is rediculous at 10 mpg

I have the 318 CC motor and my question is this ?

is it worth fixing? , will it help my gas mileage?, the truck has 135 k miles in good shape except the motor ,,,,,,

Ofcourse its worth fixing.....i think you posted this in the wrong place though...probably get more help elsewhere besides the member rides thread.
