Hi, in my 2000 dodge ram 1500 the front door speakers don't work. They haven't from when I bought the truck about a month ago, but I went and bought kicker 6x9's. They should fit with some spacers to lift them a little.

But I want to know if something different could be the problem. The old speakers don't work but could it be a wire problem not a speaker problem?

I'm not great with electrical, but it understand that stuff needs to be hooked up to work. any help would be great

I would think its a wire problem or the outputs on the deck, it would be rare for a speaker to just not work, usually it will emit some kind of sound even if it was blown or whatever.
