Default 2002 Ram 1500 SLT regular cab, long bed

This is a $500 truck, at least when I bought it. To say I've done some work on it is an understatement. It's turned into a pretty good truck.

Ramona the Ram.

What the picture doesn't show is the humidity. I live 2 miles from the Ohio river and the river valley holds moisture like a sponge. You may have passed about 20 miles north of me if you transited I-64, If you went through Indianapolis, I'm about as far from there as you can get and stay in the state.

I needed another vehicle like I needed another hole in my head. It belonged to one of the guards at work and they don't get paid much. When the engine started making noise, the salvage yard offered him $250 for it. I told him that was too low and I'd give him $500 for it if they didn't go up any on price. Two days later it was in my driveway. I have to admit, it's sort of grown on me as I used to own nothing but Mopars but since the 90's, not so much. I traded a tow dolly and small trailer for behind a motorcycle for a BMW once and then traded it for the Cadillac in the back ground in the picture. This Dodge is the first vehicle I've paid cash for in a long time.

My dad and sister moved from here to Ohio where my dad grew up , my mom and dad retired and my sister and brother in law moved shortly after, they live in a small town right on the Ohio river called east Liverpool , about 37 miles from Pittsburgh

ohio river is awsome!! I can sit and watch tug boats for hours!

they get humidity in august, we go back in September and it’s nice. And green!! The only thing I don’t like is that white stuff on the ground in winter, and with the road salts on the ground it eats up cars real fast. My brother in law had a 1st gen Dakota and in 8 years the frame rusted in half, he got a 05 truck for 7500 and I saw it last year.......it’s a rust bucket also

I'm about 50 miles south of the rust belt. We do get rust but 50 miles north, cars dissolve. 50 miles south, mostly surface rust. The Ohio up where they live is a different river than down here. We have some major tributaries that come in. When you get down stream from the Falls at Louisville, it's one big river. Hydrographicaly, it's the Ohio that runs into the Gulf of Mexico but it's called the Mississippi. If you want to see something really cool, Go to the old Civil war Fort Defiant in Cairo Illinois. It's the point where the Ohio and Upper Mississippi merge. You can see the brown water of the Ohio and the grey water of the Mississippi meet and go downstream side by side. The water looks cool but the river can be a killer. I've helped pull many people out of it when I was a volunteer. As for snow, we usually get ice. However, we're getting a lot of fogs this August and the saying around here is one snow for every fog. 4 so far.
