Thumbs up My 2000 Durango Project...

Here is my newly acquired 2000 Durango SLT.

My Dad purchased it in 2008 with 92k miles. He took great care of it keeping up on oil changes, fluids and any other issues that came up.

In about mid-2021, my Dad sold it to my younger brother. It now has 169k miles.

Yesterday I purchased from my brother for not a lot. I think the only reason I took it on was because it's been in the family for so many years. So it has some sentimental value and I know it has been well cared for.

My objective, God willing, is to take care any issues and drive it back and fourth to work. And there are some issues. I'll be posting those in the Durango section for some suggestions.

Oh! and of course, here's a pic...

If you don't plan on roof hauling, you can take off the top bars and have a cleaner look. The black tracks have a rubber popout at the rear.

looks just like the one I have (i'll try to get some pics later today) My neighbors gave it to me as I had done a lot of work on it for them and they were originally going to donate it as a tax write off then thought since I had done so much work on it and knew all the things repaired it would be better off with me so they asked if I wanted it.

Mine is an R/T, which I bought new in April 2001.
