Are there any plans for a get together on Sat?

 

i plan on heading down there...we sit around 696 and woodward. i say "sit", because i tried "cruising" last year, and it was more like parking, while burning gas...

 

If your around 696 & Woodward Friday, Ferndale is having a police car/emergency vehicle show from 1 pm - 9 pm. Expecting around 100 vehicles from the 30's to present. Six or seven armor vehicles, a $1 million fire truck with a 13 story ladder, the Mustang police car from The Transformers movie, an Orange County Chopper, K9 demo. At 5:30 pm the will have a lights and siren parade up Woodward. Ferndale is driving around a new Corvette convertable police car.

i saw this one last year on saturday...

 

I'm going Saturday afternoon in the red '99 GTS for a get together on Old Woodward w/ parking space, and to wander over to Woodward Ave and spectate

 

I never made it.

1. Rain scared me
2. The over crowded streets factored in
3. 1 and 2 really was not the deciding factor, my basement windows showed up Friday so I had to install them.

 

Streets aren't too bad. I cruised from the top to 16mile all day long. There were actually less people this year, surprising.
