Hi all! Been on the forums a while, but just found this. Better late than never eh? Kalamazoo area. Live- Scotts address, Work - Kazoo, Closest to Portage/Vicksburg. Grew up in FLINT (19 yrs) In 1984, moved far away w/uncle sams help via military (U.S.A.F.) and was stationed in Ft Walton, Florida (Eglin) and Las Vegas, Nevada (Tonopah Test Range). Did the Desert storm thing too. Got out in 1992, Married, had kids, and decided Las Vegas was maybe not where we should raise them so..... moved back to Mi. (GODS COUNTRY) (can I get an amen?) in 2001. Moved to Traverse city first, (Elk Rapids to be specific) for about 6 mos. Could not find work, well, could not find work that pays actual money. Had a job offer in Charlevoix and then Cadillac but ultimately a better offer in Kalamazoo, so here I/we are! Still, and plan to stay. Of 5 siblings and parents, only one brother still lives in flint. Everyone else got the heck out.
In reply to Dodge4SRT, Yeah I know what you mean. The West side is the Anti-Flint/Detroit. They are not car towns and do not have the same car culture and are trying real hard to keep it that way. There is no real cruise here and absolutely no street racing. Of course there is Martin if you want to be legitimate. Flint has street racing I know for a fact (at least 3 spots). Detroit I'm positive too. Even Ft.Walton Florida and Las Vegas Nv have thier cruises and racing, but not here. The cops are absolute ****'s. You better keep it on the track or go east.

Just joined today. Born and raised in Ferndale. One block from Woodward. Been cruisin' Woodward since '58. Drive a '05 Hemi Magnum. Wife has a '00 Dakota R/T. We also have a '37 Plymouth Business Coupe. Son lives in Shelby, 21 Mile/Schoenherr area and has a custom '55 Merc.
