how well will this car stack up to a 03 mustang gt with an automatic transmission in a 1/4 mile drag?

 

I assume you are talking about an 04 or 05 SRT-4 vs. an 03 auto GT??

you should get a pretty common answer... SRT wins... with a decent driver... again, assuming both cars are in stock trim... would be a good race though I'd think...

 

srt 4 takes it- no prob- ask psi chick, she's the resident pony expert.

 

I beat 2 of them.....and I didn't launch very well either time.

Stock Stang GT's are no problem, just an annoyance. I don't waste my gas on them anymore unless they act like total "a" holes. My closest race to date has been with a 350Z for about 3/4 of a mile, right up to the main gate of Fort Sam Houston. The 350Z stayed even with me until 3rd gear, when he started to fade. Yes, I had a lousy launch, because I didn't see him beside me until I heard him spinning his tires!

Really! I'm kinda getting used to seeing other drivers staying even or in some cases, even getting a little ahead in the first two gears. But ya gotta love the SRT-4s pulling in the upper gears, it's like driving a rocket!!
