Two things:
1. Is it possible that they made more 05' SRT-4s therefore it seems like there are more problems with the 05's?
2. About the LSD issue. I highly doubt Dodge, Chrylser, etc. would have invested money and time into something that didnt make a difference.

major problems.......ecu recall for reflash, a batch went out with bend valves, 3rd gear tranny problems are more common on this year than others.

minor problems.....can't use other years stage kits because of lack of battery temp sensor, different programing in ecu causes more problems when modifying, more must be done with vacuum lines to not throw codes.

so yea, overall there are more issues with 05 than with any other year. just because YOU haven't had the issue doesn't mean that there aren't a ton of other people out there than have.

That was my point. Just speaking from my experience. No problems. From what I've read the biggest major problem with these cars that end up costing huge money and repairs, some under warranty, is the huge major driver malfunction/driver error or just pure hit-and-miss problems that doesn't matter what year the car was sold. '03 - '05 owners on their 4th boost guage. '03 - '04 owners on their 5th or 6th transmissions that were rebuilt back to be bullet proof, but still ended up blowing them up too. And my '05 has 0 recalls for a reflash or any other issue. And not trying to be fussy, but why would I want to install a different year Stage kit when '05 kits are available for my '05? And as for modifying I'm not planning on having vacuum line problems and reroutes unless the Stage 3 kit tells me to do so. That's why I went the Staged kits route so I wouldn't have to do a bunch of vacuum line chopping and rerouting or any other tricks that aren't plug-and-play. If others like doing it, that's more than fine with me.

1. there are about the same number of 04's and 05's, much less 03's (only a half run).
2. they did it because people demanded it. i does help when cornering, just not in straight line acceleration, and not nearly enough to justify not buying a car because it's not there.

you would want to use a stage kit for 03 or 04 because you can get them used for half the price of the new ones, especially since they raised the prices on everything. 03/04's can interchange stages which gives them a better ability to find used kits. 05's need year specific kits.

and not everyone wants to go with a stage kit. in fact most don't. so having to play with vacuum lines is more improtant to people than you might think......

check the recalls on srt-4s......there's two for 05 and none for any other year. your perticular car might not fall into either of those, but that doesn't negate the fact that they exist.

I'll say it again, I'm only speaking from my POV. I've already stated that I'm fine with what route others want to take but that may not be the choice I decide on. And like I already stated I don't need an '03 kit when the '05 kit is available for my '05. I don't care about buyinga used system so it doesn't concern me so to continueand give me info that doesn't concern me really doesn't help me. And I checked again for TSB's and could find zero that apply to my car .. except for the "Interior - Low Gloss Interior Trim Care" but that doesn't seem like anything to worry about.

well considering that you aren't the original poster asking the question, i'm not telling YOU anything since the info given wasn't for your benefit only for clarification since you apparently don't seem to comprehend that the rest of the srt owners aren't necessarily like you.
