naa, the sxt is my work/commute car. dont exactly drive the SRT every day. i have actually thrown some sxt / base model neon parts on my srt before though (had bumper and lights on from an 01se on for a while). personally i want a car that looks slower but is faster (more sleeper) but if someone is more about show than that is their desire and they have every right to it.

Mike,

Why is there hate for someone that wants a car with a turbo from the factory so that you get all the goodies that are required with it, ie: low compression, forged internals, tougher built motor, a HD tranny and clutch, spaces for things like an intercooler and a turbo, etc? The implied statement that someone was lazy or didn't have the skill to do the work themselves is compeletly wrong. I also work as an engineer (BS ME degree, major university) desinging specific use parts everyday, and I design for the imput paramters at hand; meaning that I design a hammer to work well as a hammer and investigate all the possibilities for a stronger and cheaper manufacturing method that produces the best results. If you go to home depot and buy a $25.00 Estwing hammer, you expect all that goes with it, a forged shaft, balanced feel and extended life. A hammer is a hammer to most people and the $3.00 wood one is fine for most applications, but ask someone who does house framing all day long what they would prefer. Why do they prefer it? It was desinged to function more effectively for their specific use. I don't have any problems with a built SXT, I had a friend who almost beat me in my SRT in one, but he's about $10,000 in mods to handle the additional power his car wansn't designed to handle. I'm all for the home builds, I think that's something that SRT/SXT/F body/5.0, any tuner guy has in common, they enjoy seing the progress that they can make in their car. However, you don't buy the SRT because you can't do the work, you buy because it is specifically designed for the power and track times that you want to acheive.
