hey silverblack, i got the perrin from 3 years ago and so far not a problem. i met someone else who has it and their shifter ball is different than mine. you can adjust the perrin to different heights from stock to pretty low. the other person i met actually cut the shaft to lower the **** even more. there was almost no movement from gear to gear. pretty sweet but i don't know if that was a good idea or not. at the time all there was was mopar or perrin, and perrin had better features.

i actually don't know anyone that has gotten that short of a throw, so i have no opinion on it. honestly i would think it would be too short though, but that's my personal taste. i have driven with the 72% and that thing is damn short. it takes some getting used to, but overall is a nice shift. i still prefer my 58 for the track though, not sure why but the 72 makes me a little uncomfortable throwing wot. it's slightly notchier than the 58, maybe that's why. i honestly don't know lol. the few people who i know do have it love it though, but again it all comes down to personal preference.

what about PERRIN??? anyone have that one?
I currently have the Perrin and added to bushings. It is a shorter shift, but it is a tougher throw. I would say that it cut the shift time by a small fraction of a second, maybe 0.05. I will be putting in the Maddog 80% this weekend and I will report the results.

Thanks for the info on the 72% Amy. I hope that the 80% isnt too short.

I must be blessed. My stock shifter matches my reach and arm action to a "t"...........but I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs.................

I am 6'3 1/2 and I still like the 58% shorter better than the stock and it just feels better in the car. But everyone has there own opinion.

Im 5'5" and Im starting to get used to the mopar sts to the point it feels like the stock shifter except for the stiffer feel of the booshings. I might upgrade to that maddog 58%.

I'm 5'10".. about 180 lbs... I like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners... and if after a few glasses of cheap wine I... oh wait... wrong forum... ha-ha...

I have the Mother Mopar in mine with bushings... it's okay... it beats the stock one in my Danger Ranger anyday!!! ha-ha... maybe when I have money to just throw around I'll upgrade to at least the 58% (sounds like some of my test scores in college... ha-ha...) *sighs*...
