Default Rims

Hey, I was looking at rims and than winter tires to mount up on them for the winter. I was talkin to a friend of my dad that knows nothing about hte car and has done no research says that he would go with 16's and winter tires. I could get a good deal because he owns a tire shop.

If you get a 16" rim the suggested tire series would be a 60 series to keep the speedometer correct. I have also looked into getting a set for the winter and I could only find a 16" tire size for the blizzaks I think. It's only for winter so I wouldn't really mind what the wheel looked like as long as the tires grip. I have heard of people using the stock tires and sliding pretty easy because of the softer compound tires. If you find out more info give us some specs and prices.

Be careful, finding a 16" wheel that will fit over the brakes/calipers will be a chore.

many people are using 15" rims for winter tires. as long as you get a 35 offset they fit fine, same as using 15's for dr's.

the stock tires do fine in the rain (seattle gives me plenty of opportunity to test that)- it's the snow that everyone says they suck in.

Yeah, mine drives great in the rain as well. I have had little to no experience with my SRT-4 in the snow.
