Default idle problems

hey everybody, jus droppin a line and seein if i can get a little advice/help. A little while back i was havin idle problems with my car. I thought mayb it was the gas i was puttin in (the gas station owner lookd a little shady...) so i went to another place. Soon after the car stopped and was runnin like before. Recently the idle problem came back and this time its worse than ever. At any stop light or jus stopped for that matter, the car revs itself all the way up to 3k and then back down. A few times the rpms went down so much the car shut off on me. I know from what i have read over the past few years on here is that this could be from my throttle positionin sensor. I called a local dealer to see if i can bring it in and since it is a factory problem, if i could get it fixed for free. He asked if i had any mods to it and i told him i had the infamous blue plate. Fortunately he was cool bout it and said to jus bring it in. I was jus wonderin if anybody knew where i could my hands on the report so i can bring it in as back up. If this is a factory problem, should the dealer fix it free of charge regardless of warranty? I appreciate any help wit this. Thanx!

yup, most definately the tps... the dealer should fix it under warranty as well. that is unless they can show your 'mods' caused the failure. anyhow, its a very common problem with the car and if you only have a blueplate i dont see any warranty issues.
