Ok so my 2004 SRT4 with 30K on it with Stage 2 and a bunch of whole other goodies is at the Dealer now in Illnois. I know the mechanic very well so i guess with my mods that goes good in hand. Anyway i brought it in for very hard starts and i am having a shifting issues only when i engage the clutch it makes a loud clutter sound kinda like a racign 4 puck clutch would. I guess there really crackign down on the SRT4's though cause tuesday there sending out a dumb DCX specialist who knows nothing bout our cars to see it they will warranty me a new tranny/clutch. the dealership which i know very well was more then willing to do it but they have to get the OK from the ******* DCX rep,and btw they think the clutch is cracked but i drove the car 75 miles home from the track after this happened and it would shift fine and catch fine so i thought it was more like the throw out bearing being cracked. has anyone ever cracked a clutch inside a tranny? i know i never have i have blown them up to where my car wont drive anymore but never cracked it and successfully drivin the car home with just a pedal vibration. any input would be very helpful
