Default Factory Plug Wire After 1500 Miles

Here's a photo of my stock #4 wire after about 1500 miles AND having the DEI heat shield in place....the wire has been wiped off, the white stuff visible will not wipe off. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to replace my MSD wires every few years.....

I have, since 1500 miles. Yesterday I put some dielectric grease on the MSD termainals since I didn't have any when I put them on originally. I've saved the stock wires which join my stock exhaust and stock PCM in my garage. The MSDs don't show any discoloration as of yet, and the worst of the summer is over, so maybe they'll last awhile and I can save the $20 I was going to spend on the "heat shield" from Modern Performance.

It's the last spark plug wire going into the hole on the right side (as you face the engine). Follow it (it's pretty short) and you'll see how close it gets to the turbo.
