Don't forget to use some of that Permatex sealer as well....a little goes a long way.

 

I got the mopar BOV for now, and thank you Jim I was planning on searching the forums here for the name of that stuff but I got in now. Anyone else that ordered from MP tell me about how long they took to get the part to you? Im in Southern Cali

They mailed it the day I ordered it accodring to the FEDEX Website I should have it Thursday. Rock On MP Nice work!

Yep, the Permatex Hylomar gasket dressing and flange sealant is get insurance and it only costs a few bucks.

 

The mechanic at my dealership kept the tube of it that I furnished when they installed the BOV. He said it was something that Mopar should have put in the install directions....

 

Jim what did the dealer charge you to install it?

 

It was costly enough for him that I am more than glad that I did it myself. It's not as hard as it sounds and it is worth saving your money and some of the dealer installed horror stories that have been posted. Some have had their Mopar BOV's incorrectly installed at the dealerships and since it is not a part that is covered under the vehicles warranty and the fact that none of the Mopar Performance parts have any warranty what so ever, your better off doing it yourself so that you know that it was done properly.
