Are the internals of the stock srt-4motor fordged? i know they have to be madoe out of something strong to hold 500hp.

 

It's a cast iron block and the crankshaft is cast as well, but out of a special type metal......there are all sorts of tricked out parts in the engine, it's really built to last.Sport compact car has a lot of info on their website about theengine internals........

i never knew really how strong these motors come stock untill i saw videos of ppl with 500hp srt's on the stock motor, which is really pushing your luck. Theres a guy that lives by me that hit 520whp on a '05 srt stock motor, but he is rebuilding it now and is trying to reach 700whp
