Default wastegate figures

I was wondering: if i change the wastegate, will i be able to keep 15 psi all the way to the red line in any gear?
OR, will i need to add a boost controller and a stage 1 as well to get these figures?

ps. sorry if this question is asked over and over again

It is better to use the BC to raise boost with the WG. You don't want to overtighten your WG because you can bend the WG Flapper Arm and then you will have to replace the manifold. And since the manifold is attached to the turbo.....well.......it would be expensive. I am running my WG at 12 and used a TurboXS MBC to up boost to 18psi. Works great and holds great until redline. No complaints. And at first I was not running a stage 1. I removed and capped off the red line (EDTip mod) to run higher boost without engine codes being thrown for the overboost. Most people say 15psi on S0 is good, some say 17psi. I stayed 15psi and bumped it up to 18psi once I got the S1.

Here you go:

In this link it says to stick a ball bearing in the hose to block air from going through. I actually removed the red hose that connects from the solenoid to the cold side pipe and capped off both ends. All this does is prevents the P1188 code which is overboost.
