I too have experienced the mixed reactions and people that have no idea what it is or what the SRT-4 means or what the PVO on my plates mean. Those few that do know what it is both love and respect it and those that don't will learn to love it or fear it. This is why I take copies of reviews to the car shows and display them so the uninformed can become the informed.

In the beginning, when i 1st got my car, i had the same issues myself. After i left Iraq, i was definitely getting the EVO. But when i saw how crazy the price range was (starting @ $34,400) i said forget it. Then i read about the SRT... and the rest is history.
Now people is strated give the car itz RESPECT[sm=smiley15.gif][sm=smiley15.gif][sm=smiley34.gif]

Ya know something's wrong when a guy in his early 50's who drive's a cobra roadster replica know's about my car and most everyone else don't. Can't wait for the ride in the cobra even though it's a small block with 287 whp. Every srt iv'e seen around here have been driven by guy's in their 20's

SRT_YA, have you had a lot of guys/gals wanting to drive your SRT-4???
The only people I've had wanting to drive my car are my friends and co-workers that know the car is a lot quicker than their cars. I have let a few people drive it, and I always get the same response - "wow, I love these seats" or "wow, that clutch is really easy to push in"... [sm=lol.gif]

When I first bought my car and brought it to work, everyone asked me what kind of car it was, and a lot of people thought it was a WRX since it's the elect. blue.

Most people I run into either know what the car is immediately (sp) or ask a million questions, and as soon as you tell them it's a "fast neon" they laugh and say "those two words don't go together"... oh well... beats driving a starting to rust 1994 Purple Grand Am that I as stuck with for years

It's sad that so many people have that opinion about the Neons, the Neons have a huge winning racing history and they are always seen as slow POS. [:@]

most people think im a stupid kid (im 20) who put a big spoiler on a neon and really dont know what it is till they mess with me and we race then i get the best responses. id say 2 of 10 of the people around town know what it is and i kinda like it that way.... at the track i get dirty looks and get muged by all the guys with gutted civics and body kitted integras. i just smile back at them and that pisses them off more. i asume there mad cause they cant touch me and they know it. and almost every person who has a decently fast car, that races me is always suprised that they couldnt hang at all. ive gotten "damn i thought i would do better than that" or the guys with nice sports cars or what they think is fast giving me the "damn man nice race" when its just me and them but back at work or around others there story changes "na man it was really close" lol i love it cause i just smile at them and dont say a word. well i dont even know what this thread is about anymore ive just been rambeling so ill close with. i tell my self often that i love my car so much. its great, and i only have few complaints.

I went to my family reunion this past weekend and for some reason my favorite aunt asked me what kind of car I drove. I told her a "Dodge SRT-4" and her and my cousin just stared at me with a blank look. I then added, "It's sort of a sports car that does the quarter mile in 13 seconds." My aunt considered this and finally said, "Jimmy, you drive whatever makes you happy."

Thanks. I am and will.
