WeLL i just put in my intercooler hard pipes with the turbo xs rfl bov in my car.. the only problem now is that my bov does not make a swoshhhh sound unless im boosting like 13 psi and let go of the gas or shift... is there any way that i can get that swoshhh sound at around like 5-10 psi.... idk if this makes any sense to u guys but i tried to clear it up as much as i could lol

You can do 2 things. I don't much much about that BOV but you should be able to adjust it for a lighter load, meaning it'll blow off at lower levels. The second and most common reason for not getting the sound is that the stock turbo doesnt put out enough boost/pressure to really drive a BOV to whooosh as much as it would if lets says you had a big turbo or you had more hp going through the engine. The turbo at higher psi will create enough boost to cause the BOV to open and thus you hear the sound. It actually opens at lower psi also but you may not be able to hear the sound as much as you would at higher levels.

 

the big whooosh comes in at 10 or 15 psi....the one at 5 psi is totally diff.I Got 6 washers on mine and it's still damn loud.

 

i have 2 washers on there now.. do you think i should go to 3 or 1 or just leave it at 2

 

more washers=less noise.With stock boost you should be fine with 1 or 2.That's what I had and it was ok, I dont understand why yours is being a pita.
