That my friends, is a bunch of crap - why did they have to go and dilute the statement they made with the srt-4 - at least we'll have new "idiot neons" to beat on and make look stupid.

 

They posted the pictures in the Neon section of DF at the top of the listings.

I don't really care one way or the other. Most people have already "learned" not to mess with a SRT-4. If they happen to beat a wanna-be, that's just one more "kill" for me waiting to happen. Besides, word about the "fakes" will be out and serious racers will know the difference. The "real" SRT-4's have been kicking butt for 2 1/2 years now, a look-alike was inevitible. Personally, I'd be embarrased to buy the look-alike knowing I had nothing under the hood to back up the looks....but someone will and it'll be their problem, not mine.

 

they should make the radator look like an intercooler like some folks with civics do lol...

 

I dont care myself. Some people like the show of the SRT4 but dont want the go. Im not sure why but thats their choice. Plus like Jim said someone will smoke a sxt then pull up to you thinking about the same outcome and then get destryoed.

 

Actually it may be a good idea to put some "decoys" out there. It'll keep the ricer's guessing and make our driving more interesting. Plus, people may REALLY be giving our cars a hard look at the stoplights!!!![sm=smiley36.gif]

 

Well just to show you how ignorant people really are, in the last month alone I've been asked by a half dozen different people if my SXT was a SRT4. Apparently they can't tell the difference. Its kind of sad, I have nothing SRT4 on my car except my short throw and they can't see that really.

 

ive seen the opposite...i called it a "want-not-to-be srt4" it was debadged, the wing was removed for the SXT wing, 15 inch aftermarket wheels were put on, lowered front and rear, and he bought a neon RT front and rear fascia, and cut the back of the front fascia to accomodate the IC. i ran him, and i ran a 12.72 @ 104ish, he ran a 12.20 @ 130!!!

thats when i relaized why there was a "neon rt" in slick class...

I like it... It helps my sleeper skeem go over that much better!

 

It almost seems as though DCX has made an "American" ricer......all show, no go....(at least compared to a real SRT-4)....
