Recently I have been noticing that when I start up my car from sitting for a while, when I punch it I am getting a boost reading of about 10! Then when it gets warmed up i get a reading of about 15 and it says like that the rest of the ride. Then tonight I was coming home from work, i started it up and i was getting a reading of 18-19 when i punched it! Then the engine would warm up again and i would punch it and get a normal reading of about 15. What the hell is going on?

 

car changes boost levels until it's warmed up, trying to save the engine and turbo from excessive wear.

if you think you might have a boost leak just do a leak test and see. check your lines while you're in there.

 

alright sounds good, it really scared me when i seen it jump to 18-19 psi, that is good to know though thanks
