whats the difference between 03 and 04 srt-4 s1 ecu'?
because if the ecu's are the same and the prices are the same, y wouldnt i just order a 03 s1 for my 04 and just keep the extra parts? i know at least one of you have thought about this before and thats where i got it from. im getting closer to getting s1 so i figured id ask...

Nice try
See, if you use your VIN, it shows as an 04, you get just the ECU. Now, you say to yourself "Ha, I'm smarter than the average bear, I'll just use the VIN from Jim-Bob, my buddy with an 03"
Yahoo, you did indeed beat the system, you got a free set of 04/S1 injectors you don't need!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the downside. That 03 VIN you used to get the goods? It's not just a Mopar marketing thing. Unless the VIN programmed into the PCM matches your cars SKIM, the car will shut down after 3.5 seconds.
This is not some vauge forum "Well, Jim-Bob told me so". My Stage 1 computer had to go back twice to get reflashed, so I have firsthand experience.
Now, if you have a buddy who can access an DRBIII and can reflash you for free, then it's a good deal. You can order under the 03 VIN and reflash the VIN when you get the computer. Most dealers charge from $35-$90 for a reflash, so it's not normally worth it.
