Your payments should be fairly low, I only put $1,000 down with no trade in and financed it for 6 years and my payments were only $330 a month. I'm paying more and should have it paid off in 5 years.

 

Don't tell them you have a trade in until you've gotten them to commit to the lowest possible price.....and watch out for all the "extra warranties" they want you to buy....

 

I went ahead and got the extended warranty that covers it bumper to bumper for 7/70,000 instead of the 3/36,000 that it comes with for bumper to bumper. That and the insurance that covers the payments for me if I become ill or injured or loose my job. With both of those added on it bumped my payments up from $330 to $368 a month and to me it was well worth it.
