Yep. Under high boost or under moderate boost at high RPM's it will sound like a nice loud whistle. You will also notice that under light acceleration when you let off the gas, without triggering the BOV, you will here the flutter and it sounds kinda like a rattle snakes tail rattling. All of this is completely normal and cool as hell. At WOT the turbo will scream like a banshee and let everyone know it's turbocharged, others it may just scare the crap out of them. Glad to here you got it on, now kick back, relax and enjoy truely hearing your turbo for the first time.

I think it has to do with the slowing down of the turbine impeller blades(or whatever it is called) causing turbulence with the incoming airflow - Someone on here can probably ennumerate it better than I but those are my thoughts.[8D]

It sounds AWESOME, though, whatever it is. It's even more noticeable with the short ram ( and now that it's cooling down outside, the benefits of the short ram I bought are finally coming into play)

Yes. Its not like OMG that was a big gain, but you can feel the car can breathe better. The sound is amazing also.

Told ya so. I believe that the flutter is from the turbulence of the impeller and incomming air since there isn't sufficient pressure to open the BOV.
