Default Hey BadStratRT.......

Hey whats up. I own a 2002 RT Coupe 5 speed. Have you found any performance mods for this car? There is nothing out there I can find. Too bad, because the chassis could really handle another fifty horses or so. It handles much better than my SRT-4, it is neutral. The car needs HP!!!! Let me know if you have any info. Thanks.

What 2002 RT coupe 5 spd. do you have, what kind of car is it (RT is too vague, since there are a few different RT's)?

Hey there Roadrunner, By the way, nice car. My buddy a 70 or 71 GTX 6 pack car, same body style as yours. He is debating a restoration. The six pack set up is missing (surprise), bit the numbers match for the block. Back to my original question. The car is a 2002 Stratus RT Coupe,( AKA Mitsubishi Eclipse ), with the 3.0 SOHC Mitsu. motor, and a five speed. It's a nice car, smooth and sweet motor, handles very neutral for FWD. It needs more power, but other than a cold air intake, I can't find anything. Thanks.

Hey Paul there's plenty of performance mods out there for the 2gstratus's.

RIPP Mods

Ripp Mods has Stage's 1-3 Superchargers, headers, Tuners packages, Boost Controllers, pulleys, Blow off valves

As far as tranny goes, coolers, quaife limited slip differential (thats found in the SRT-4 you have), Pressure Plate and Clutch Disc, and the KAAZ LSD which I know nothing about.

ALSO check out Uncle's Motorsports
Jason, a CT member of 2gStratus.org (a GREAT forum for the 2g stratus, I'm SexyStratChick there, but rarely post anymore) owns this company, and he's a great guy, and very reputable.

As for dropping the car, I dont know whether your into that or not, But I had KYB AGX's and DropZone springs on my R/T back when I had it. They KYB's were great, the DropZone's....a bit bumpy.

As for an intake, I had a K&N Full metal polished CAI, it was awesome, absolutely loved it, except for the damned rain in RI....But you can switch it to a shorty if need be.

Cheap OEM Parts can be found at these sites. Though I know you get a discount .

B&M Makes a Short Throw Shifter. BM ST Shifter

Borla Cat Back can be found here:
Exile Racing

For headers you have AMSS, RippMods, XIRacing, Search Racing
XIRacing headers

Theres also lightened flyhweels to make you rev faster, with less strain on the motor.

Mufflers: Anything will do I had a custom 3" catback with removed resonators and a hi-flow cat, with a Hayame 3" outlet/inlet muffler. Sounded damn mean. I've got pix if you want em. Theres Flowmaster, Injen SES Magnaflow, Borla, Mopar Exhuast, Dynomax....its all out there hunn.

Deyeme Racing has alot of products for those cars too, including motor mounts. Upgraded clutches, its all there hunn.

www.unclesmotorsports.com has got it all.

The Ripp Mods SC adds 70whp to the 3.0V6 5speed. but is expensive.

AND heres where you can find lots more information on your 2gstrat
