think i got ripped off
i bought a act clutch and flywheel kit. the kit came in today and i know there is no flywheel. the guy keeps saying turn it around its on there. and its preassembled i assure u its on there,. well it doesnt take an idiot to see theres NO teeth or anything for the starter to grab heres some pics front side back tell me if theres a flywheel on this
i can't really see anything in the picture?
who did you buy it from?
act clutches come in yellow housings, i don't see a housing in the pic.
here's what it should look like.....

You gots madd picture skillz yo.
I see a part of a shoe, part of a box and a piece of metal in your pic Masssrtdriven.
In PSI Chicks pic, I see a Pressureplate (in the box) and a clutch disc off to the right (out of the box).
Not shown in either pic is a fly wheel.
You are right in that the flywheel will have teeth for the starter to engage with. The flywheel will also be slightly larger in diameter than the pressureplate and the pressureplate bolts to the flywheel with the clutch disc sandwiched in between.

ok so i call act because i have a model clutch kit they stopped making looks exactly like the second pic psi chick posted. it came preassembeled. now the act customer service rep told me that our cars dont actually use a flywheel it uses more like a flexplate design. now to my understanding i thought all automatics used flexplates and hence our cars arnt but anyways. he then proceeds in telling me that there is a flywheel on the back of my clutch however like i said above it does not have teeth and in the large terrible pic i posted thats the back of my so called flywheel that came with this kit. the person then tells me that bolts up to the flexplate. so now im confused because its like he just said our cars have a flexplate and that the flywheel bolts up to it. he tells me this is called a modular clutch design, and our cars have this from factory and the new act kit comes with an actual flywheel that replaces this flexplate and makes it into the design i am thinking i should have. so idk im lost and so confused now im tearing apart the clutch outa my car sat and sunday and if this dont work im gonna flip
