hey everyone i was wondering if i could get a little help here....what is wide open throttle? lol..i hear everyone talking about it but i dont understand what it is or how it works..any help please

 

uhh... okay... well... you asked nicely so...

the basic very generic answer... when you put your foot to the floor, which means you are pressing the accelerated (rectangle shaped pedal on the far right ) all the way down as far as it can go...

this opens the throttle blade allowing more air into the engine...

Closed throttle:

i think he's asking about what wot shifting is. it's basically put the gas petal to the floor and don't move it until you're done racing.

 

oh... that would make a little more sense...

I wouldn't be as "scared" if that's the question...

 

yea thats what i was asking psi chick thanxxx lol...so when u shift you dont let go of the gas?

 

that's right...

and you may wish to try and shift before you are bouncing the car off the rev-limiter... maximum HP is not at maximum RPM

 

.......and don't do it at every stoplight. It does take a toll on the tranny over a period of time.....
