The Neon SRT-4 takes right at 5 quarts, which you can buy in one jug (Mobil 1) from Wally World. Check your dipstick as well.

BTW, your boys had a great Sunday night game. My oldest is a big Cowboy fan and the wife and I are Raiders fans. He's been braggin' ever since. The only time of year he gets to talk smack to mom and dad.

No problem! Yeah, I think the 'Boys may do ok this year but Philly is a threat. I'm moving to Colorado next spring, so my favorite sports teams may need to be adjusted in order for me to get out of town in one piece........

btw, what are the side effects of too much oil in the motor (besides being bad for the seals)?

 

It can overheat your oil, and cause a drop in oil pressure.

 

Too much oil can mean the oil comes in contact with the crankshaft and since the crankshaft is spinning at several thousand RPMs, it can whip the oil into foam. Foam can't be pumped very well to critical parts resulting in lack of lubrication.....
