A turbo timer is fine if you have the cash and drive the car hard most of the time. Otherwise, just letting your engine idle for a minute or two after hard driving does the same thing. As for an OCC, yes, you need one since the factory PCV lets oil blow by and gunk up your engine and intercooler, etc. See the sticky at the top of the section for more info or spend $60 more for a shiney one.
