Here is my .02 on all this. First off, your Colt is not the original Dodge turbo car as there were turbocharged versions of both the Charger and Daytona that same year. Secondly the Colt is only a Dodge by name, it is pure Mitsubishi. The SRT-4 only has a Mitsubishi turbocharger, the rest is all American made, but the engine is assembled at the Mexico plant.

Now on to the part that has caused the friction with most everyone on here, your boasting about how your Colt has beat 4 SRT-4's. And here you are again bragging about how your well modified Colt can beat a 100% stock SRT-4. You call it "awesome", this has to be the saddest and most pathetic thing I have heard, bragging about how a well modified car can beat a new 100% stock car.[sm=icon_rofl.gif] That is just like someone bragging that they have a well modified '70 Hemi Cuda that can beat a 100% stock '85 Corvette (the '85 Corvettes only had 185 horsepower), it is an unfair and highly unbalanced comparison. It is completely absurd to compare a modified car to a stock car.

Your Colt stock would be hard pressed to beat a bone stock base model Neon let alone an SRT-4. If you want to compare them then do it right and fairly, either have both of them stock or have both of them with equally comparable modifications. Since your Colt is so big and bad, lets run it against an equally modified SRT-4. You say that your Colt is double the factory boost, then lets see you run against an SRT-4 that is double it's factory boost and it's factory boost is 14-15 psi, so you'll need to run against one that is between 28-30 psi boost. An SRT-4 with Stage 2 is only around 18 psi boost and they run high 12's-low 13's. Imagine running against an SRT-4 with another 10-12 psi boost on top that, the one in the SRT-4 would need a telescope attached to the rear view mirror to see your Colt as far back as it would be.

I cannot believe that your actually comparing an SRT-4 to a ZR1 and a GN, that was until I read up on the ZR1 and the GN and found them to be fairly comparable to the SRT-4 in some cases. The ZR1 had times all over the place that ranged from 0-60 MPH times from 4.4 sec. to 5.6 sec. and 1/4 mile times from 12.8 sec. @ 113.8 MPH to 13.9 sec. @ 105 MPH. But your '86 GN wasn't nearly as quick or fast as the ZR1 or the SRT-4, the '87 GN has 10 more horsepower and 25 more torque than your '86 did and they ran the 1/4 mile in 14.23 sec. @ 98 MPH. The SRT-4 runs 0-60 MPH in 5.3 sec. and the 1/4 mile in 13.9 sec. @ 103 MPH. Yup, it's just a Neon, a Neon that your comparing to a ZR1 and a GN.[sm=exactly.gif]

Finally, back to your Colt again. Do you have any pictures or video of this car or of it's time slips or runs? I think we all would love to see a mid-low 13 second Colt. I would definately love to see your RM23V0 ('70 Roadrunner) and your '71 Superbee and AAR Cuda.

If you noticed his post was deleted and he not only got chewed, but is on the edge of being spit out as well. We do not and will not tolerate his type of behavior and have dealt with it before. Certain words or phrases are borderline and it all comes down to their useage, such as the ones you mentioned getting reamed for. Ok rr I will get some pics up within a day or so when im on my laptop.

Now my dang colt is not highly modified in any terms, the injector switch...it has only 2 is cause they seal better. My huge turbo boost upgrade is a fish valve on the wastegate vac. canaster so it dont bleed off so much boost. My exhaust is simply a straight pipe with a small more or less crome glass pack one the end that looks a bit more in place size wise as some of the imports sporting trash can size looking units under thier rear bumper look silly to me.

Its got the org 13 inch rims still.

But yes the boost is the biggest factor I noticed inthe whole deal.

Id run a stock neon or srt, to those who get mad at the neon name with my stock boost.

It runs better than any turbo colt if sen or drove but I alos put in that it was org owned by a dealer tech who autocrossed it when new.

I was wrong about the first turbo car comment as yes I know they had turbo cars then, I used to say it was the org turbo import as yes its just a mitt with dodge sticker.

But none the less its a cool lil car, yes I have a great lil movie of a 13.2 run with wheelspin through first gear..and as I said I will post a pic.

You must remember curb weight on the car is under 1800 pounds.

As for your reasearch on the zr1 and gn, its just reaserch, ive owned both the 86 and 87 intercoled gn`s as well as a s 405 hp 95 zr1, by any means the buicks were the best and most fun.

The best I could pop with that was high 12`s cause the trans would always let go and the dealership sent spys to the track and voided our free fix paperwork, ******.

In the first year of my 86 gn it went through two short blocks and one trans and one rearend....fun car but they overpowered the engine to match the rest of the car.

Real world real street as we all know is the real deal, id like to run a few modified srt`s as the many factors of the street race deal makes it fun.

Pavement, driver, temp as we all know are factors.

As far as my current older rides, sure I will post some pics, thier nice cars but drivers. The wrecked arr is a total wreck hit very hard in the rear but complete and just over 3000k miles. It was my now dead fathers.

But really so what my lil colt can beat some neons and im sure some modified ones will beat me.....I was simply looking for info on them.
