Default Stage 1 question

I have the $ for a stage 1 kit, but I was wondering if it is worth it. Can you feel a big difference from stock after the install? I want to stick with mopar and I can't get the stage 2 for a long while if I want to stay married.

Thanks

The Stage 1 PCM can be used even in non-mopar upgrades. It does make a pretty decent increase in power, and first gear becomes even more virtually useless than it was before. I'd definitely go for it if i were you, you'll have a bit more kick in the pants with it now, and you'll get to stay married.

Marriage and speed are always a balancing act. The SRT 4 is easier to balance than kart racing was, because I use the gas milage argument. I used to have a Ram with a 5.7 HEMI that I used to tow my race trailer. No trailer, no need for the truck.

I'm 100% satisfied with my Stage 1. It was a straightforward install, no special tools or equipment needed. You need to order it a few weeks ahead of your planned install date to give them time to flash it with your VIN # and mileage which you furnish at the time you order. The Mopar/Borla exhaust combined with this really makes a difference in performance and the Mopar BOV makes it fun to listen too!!!! All for less than $800....

I SAID IT ONCE, AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN, STAGE 2 ISN'T WORTH THE MONEY. Get stage one, a cold air intake, an adjustable wastgate actuator, maby some exhaust work....you'll be happy. Stage one alone is a slight increase, an air intake helps wake it up. An adjustable WGA is what you want. Just remember, you better use good fuel.
