dont really know, neither here nor back where im from in PA have smog testing of any kind

 

it will pass the smog test. inspections are done with odb now, as long as there's no codes it passes. i'm on s3 with no cat and i pass lol

 

S3 still passes, thats awsome. im not familiar with emissions testingother than you get an extra sticker in PA...how do they administer the test anyhow?

 

they plug a computer into the obd port and run some diagnostics. as long as there's no codes, you pass. shops still do a visual safety inspection, but no more rollers.

 

Huh.... that's easy to beat. I thought they used a sniffer.

 

Nice Im glad I just ordered the stage 2, I do have one question, say a shop did use rollers would a 50 trim pass with the stage 2 set up or would I just have to put the stock ecu back on?

 

as long as there's not codes and there's a cat on the car it should pass. s2 is a little borderline because it runs so pig rich, but with a fc on there it shouldn't be a problem. but it doesn't really matter, all cars newer than 1996 get obd now.

 

Down here, as long as your lights, brakes, and horn work, you're good to go for another year......[&:]
