so my car sat for a couple days, started it up..let it idle for about 5 minutes. then i got in and gave it a couple full revs. now the needle shot up and came down quick till about 2k rpms then it stopped there for a second and dropped slowly. now the car was not even close to warmed up in this 0 degree weather were having..is the cold affecting this..i never really noticed before.. so i have no clue whats goin on

 

probabya cold issue.

-but be watchful for more of this type of stuff. the TPS is known to have issues in this car. the car will rev itself and so on, almost as if the throttle gets a mind of its own. dosent sound like it but just be mindful if the car continues to act off.

 

thanks ive never ran into this so i was assuming it was because it was cold, never had any rpm movement on its own and such as u are describing. so i dont think mines bad yet. once i can drive again in a couple months when the snow is all gone ill find out lol
