Mopar Stage 2 upgrade VS. Boost Controller?
Well, here are my thoughts and questions. First, would it be better to get the whole stage 2 mopar kit, or, get a boost controller and maybe a chip or something to that effect?
Because i thought with chippin it i would get a higher rev out of it and with the boost controller i could shoot more boost through it. Which i am assuming a safe amount of boost would be anywhere from 16-18 lbs on stock internals, im no expert so this is why i am asking this question that has been picking at my brain since i bought it...
Boost Controller and a Chip OR Stage 2 Upgrade?
Any and all opinions will help

First, welcome to the forums; I'm fromMN too (St. Cloud), but living in NY for a few years now. Anyway, you'll be best off going Stage 2 if you got the money, and with/without 'toys' also makes a difference in HP and price. It depends on what your goal is with the car. Research it a bit here--all three Stages and HP ranges you'd expect to see from them, andwhich path you want to take. Mopar Stage kits are basically plug and play, wherebolt-ons and other mods require a bit more time and mech. skills to properly install and tune. There's a lot of great info available here, as well as people that are very helpful and knowledgable, PSI Chick being one of them.
as was just said, the S2 is plug and play. whereas if you go other routes youll need to tune. a mbc is good, but youll need to upgrade other things, not just 'turn up the boost'
if you get a boost controller, as psi said your still on the stock fuel system. from the pump to the injectors, it can only deliver so much.
there is a sticky on the various stages and what they do. there has been a wealth of discussions on many other topics as well. also, your stock turbo wont be good for much over 18psi anyhow. so if you plan on gonig higher than that in the future, you might consider a different kit. it will give you a lot more power and a good base to build on in the future.

well...lets say i spent the extra cash and just got a stage 3. would i need to get things like axels and a new clutch and other things that could handle the higher power?
