RE: The 2005 SRT Nationals! April 8-10, 2005!!!
The Louisiana State Troopers were waiting RIGHT PAST the state line because the speed limit dropped like 10 mph....they love to search out of state cars for drugs and other items as well. They've also been known to take things (like cash from your wallet) and not give them back.

Wow...what ********!!!!! Are you serious Dusty??? Thats fkn nuts!! They'll probably be all over the SRTs then. They can't search my car unless they've got a warrant, I'll but their ***** to the hilts if they try to start with me if I end up going. I'm not taking S&*% from a stupid state cop with a shotugn up his **** from his boss. They'd probably try to do a "strip search" too. This almost makes me NOT want to drive 25 hours to go there.

RE: More info....
Well folks, I just wanted to give this post a little bump and to let you all know that I have received confirmation from MOPAR that they will be there in full force with the Mopar Image Center and SpeedShop. Not to mention, they should be bringing down a few vehicles that you all want to see, like the 2005½ SRT-4 ACR!
This year's event is turning out to be HUGE. I never though that by Jan 15th, we'd have over 80 people signed up for the event. I'm sure we'll have over 250 by the time the event gets closer.
Thanks for the support that we're getting from DodgeForum.com and I can't wait to meet you all in April
I know you folks are talking about cages and whatnot, but you don't need a cage for Nationals. You just need a good attitude, an SRT vehicle, and time to have a ton of fun!!!!

RE: The 2005 SRT Nationals! April 8-10, 2005!!!
Well since i live like 70 miles or so from the state line with louisiana, and i go there at least once a week to the boats, casio's like the ones in lake charles and Lafayette, and i sometimes go to lafayette for work when i want a change from the norm. I have never heard of a Louisiana state police man stealing money from anyone, its the smaller towns i worry about that has the crooked boss hog types, most state police officers i no, encluding my cousin who is a trooper with troop G in Shreveport are hard working underpaid policeman who try to do there job day after day. If i was to get stoped in Louisiana i would prefer it to be by the state police, one thing is that they dont have to give you a ticket if your from out of state, they can make you pay the fine at the nearest justice of the peace office or they can take you to jail to sit it out, its Louisiana state law, also unlike Texas, they are under orders to write a certain amount of tickets per tour of duty. Most all interstates highways in Louisiana are 70mph, all six of them I-20 which runs across the northen part of the state, I-49 that runs from Shreveport(from I-20) to Baton Rouge(I-10), I-10 that runs along the southern part of the state, I-12 which runs from Baton Rouge and connects back with I-10 at Slidell, bypassing that mess known as New Orleans, and you got I-55 which runs north to Jackson, Miss and beyond and I-59 thats runs north to Meridian, MIss and beyound, sadly both of which start in New Orleans. As you might have noticed i hate New Orleans, They(New Orleans police dept) towed my car at the 2001 Mardi Gras, from a lot i paid to park in, there reason was that the owner of the lot reported that someone had parked illegal and they dedermined it was me and towed my car off, even thought i had the recipt in hand from the guy who said i didnt pay, and they made me pay the tow and a city fine totaling $350, that place can flood and fall off in the gulf of mexico for all i care. Thats whole town is ate up with crooked SOB's..stay as far away as possible from there...i have been to Louisiana many times, have familly living there and have never had any big problems with the police, however, the small towns or the ones to watch out for, stay on the interstates and enjoy the flat view and obey all speed limits, for those who do wonder off, everytown that has a U.S. post office has a 30mph strictly radar enforced limit, and if this even has caught there attention they will be sitting behind buildings, sighns, or trees...watch your speed..and have fun!
Hey Greg i need to talk to you about sitting up a both, i'm selling T-shirts, havent made my mind up on the desighn, but its going to read....
