Default The installation

OK so I got home form work at 7:00 am, it had just stopped raining.. OH THE LUCK. I grab my tools, I grab my hood, and my eyelids and sprint off.

I remove the hood, and it was alot easier than I thought it would have been by myself:

You can see my 2 OCC's in there, heres some closer ones just incase

Anyway I rip off the rubber piece, bolt up the hood and close it.. WOO it latches.
I even it up a bit tighten it down, and ready to tackle the eyelids.

SO here comes the part I was dreading the "one shot is all you get" mod. I sat there and played with it a bit and it seems they only go on one way that is correct, a few test runs and I'm ready to go. So I take a breath, and break the actovator tube. Rub it on, peel off the red tape and prepare. I put on the first one, with ease none the less a perfect fit. Onto the next.. OH NO I drop it and a piece of the tape sticks to the headlight.. haha it's ok I get it off. So I carefully put it on again press it down and bam.. perfect match.

YAY I'm done. I must admit I don't like how the front of the hood lines up with the rest of the car, but with a little adjustment of the latch I am sure I can cure that.. but thats a project for another day.

To keep it all in one post I'm gonna put a couple things some have asked to see (Since I just bought an awesome coo digi cam.

Close shot of my Cuda stripes:

Close site of tails to dismiss the unsightly gap legend

Look a picture of a mirror.. Thats funny it looks like a backwards me.

Thanks you for everyones help on this forum, esp psichick & SexySRTchic.. I KNEW I should have just ripped that rubber piece off. I probably am a bit incoherent in this but typing i up fast, as I have no patience
As proof: On the first installation I got rather mad and ripped out my sprayers effectivly breaking them [:@]. Guess I gotta buy another set now.[:'(]

That looks soooo great hunn!!! I want my car back with my hood now!! So I can take pretty pictures!!! *jealous* ::sad::. Its okay it supposedly went out in transit today. I have a tracking number, I shall stalk my hood.

I really like the way the tails and cuda's look too. Now for rims!!! The only thing I don't think I like is that the SRT-4 sticker on the front is red, and not silver to match the rest of the decals. I think I'd like it better if it were silver.

Whatcha mean you don't like how it fits up front?? I can't tell from the pictures. If I were you unless you use you windshield washers alot, just rip the whole system out. I hardly use mine, I may have the body shop just rip the whole system out when the hood comes in. and I'll keep it if I ever want to reinstall it.

Oh yes, no problem anytime .

Seksi Tipop!!! Tipop got hood! Happy Tipop

Ya that red SRT-4 sticker isn't my cup of tea really either but my 12 year old sister bought that for me for my birthday, so I'll grit my teeth and leave it on for her.[sm=itsok.gif]

I'll take a close pic tomorrow.. It doesn't line up well at all, you can't tell from those, or if you step back and look at it.. but I know it's there so I can see it, just like the small dent in my door panel.

And as for the system.. I did rip the entire thing out [:@]. But I went and ordered the parts to replace it from the dealership today $6.50. No biggie, but I'll need them for the snow, salt, and road grime getting on my windows this winter.

Well if your little sister bought it, then it MUST stay or else. Thats cute that she got you something for your car though. My little 5 year old brother will get me a hot wheels, then tell me its his and steal it!!! Fresh little guy.

Be sure to take pix of where it latches up I wanna see what you mean.

Ok heres the pics of the front of it.. although you can't tell it in the pics on the ends I can get my finger inbetween the hood and front fender, in the center it is flush with it.

Edit: I was shaking from the cold in the first one -.-. It looks a little wierd, but trust me when I say it's the same as the other side.

Wow, that is pretty bad for what you paid for it. I'd send those pictures to the company. I wouldn't want something that didnt fit perfectly on my car on there, especially if its a hood. I'm sorry hunn [] It looks like its curled way too much. It actually made the gap between the front bumper and the hood WORSE....

whatcha gonna do about it?
