Default Timing Belt, and when to change it?

I'm only at 27,350 Miles but wondering these things...

1. How long before it has to be changed, and is it hard to do? 1-10 scale of difficulty?

2. If the belt blows, do I have a non-interfearance engine, or are there valves
hitting pistons in the block?

Thanks for your help on this topic as always.

P.S. - When should the PCV valve be replaced on the SRT-4 Neon?

1. i think the manual says 60k, but if you see it worn do it sooner. and obviously if you're doing anything that requires the head coming off or anything like that change it. not hard to do, maybe a 4?

2. valves will hit

3. pcv - often. i change mine every other oil change (so twice a year). our pcv valves are junk.

hey PSI chick ???? got a question only you could answer....

when i first got my car we were checking everything out and noticed the occ was hooked up wrong....in the process of hooking it up properly and adding a second occ we found out that theyhollowed out my pcv valve??? the took the valve out of it...they gutted it??? why???? do you have any idea???

i dont see a check valve inline to the occ for the pcv boost leak...
