srt's not mod-able
We've been through this before. No point in doing it again. Paul thinks the Stage 2 kit is not worth the money based on his experience with a few S2 cars.
Reliable mid to low 13s with 105-108 traps (with a good driver) for 800ish is a judgment call. The value of the Toys is also judgement call. Can you match that functionality for less? Maybe, but not most folks.
And sorry Paul, but unless you can quantify your cars performance, it's impossible to say how it matches up against a properly running S2 car. And while there are Stage 1 equipped cars (don't forget extras like exhaust, BCs and WGAs
) that can beat Stage 2 cars, they are not that common. The local that matched my car has $1200 into his. and If I had spent my $350 exhaust money on a side exit 3" like his, it would have been different.
But regardless, neither of these things have any bearing on the SRTs modability. The car can be modded, and has been.

Paul's raced a car that runs 12.6 repeatedly. And has beaten that car each and every time they've matched up with one another. Granted the car isn't an S2 car, but the car he's raced is far faster than an S2 car. I agree with him. Its not worth the money for what you get out of it. Theres other ways to jump up to the amount of horsepower a Stage 2 car throws out than by spending that much cash.
Once NED opens back up you'll have proof of what his car can do. And the driver has a great effect on it all also. Ben only ran a 12.9, but his car is capable of more, he just needs better launches. But Paul is an excellent driver, I was there the night he raced Rick with the repeated 12.6 SRT (I have seen the time slip for Rick's race AND a VIDEO that showed that Rick actually ran that time) and I've never seen anyone hook a car up like that, especially on a street.
No neither of these things have ANYTHING to do with modability in general at all. Alls this is showing is that you can get your car just as S2 responsive and more, without actually spending that much money on S2. And he has matched that functionality for less. And most people can they just tend to overlook things.
So yes while I have my proof of his car's performance, you guys need more. Maybe I can set up a run with him and one of my buddies with an S2 car. But I've driven both, and Paul's car is the most responsive SRT I've driven yet. But I'll try to set that run up for you guys, and I'll film it too. Then you can have something to go off of.
No use arguing about someones opinion. He thinks S2 is a waste of cash, so be it. Some of you might think otherwise. But its no reason to bash someone.
And like I said I'll do my best to set that run up for you. And we'll see how his car holds out.

No **** Sherlock, that is what I said. HIGH OCTANE. Maby you should read a little slower instead of accusing people of not knowing what they are talking about. Pump gas is NOT high octane. You have a 55 gal drum of 100+ hanging around at your house? Didn't think so.

sorry RIPSIGUY thats a retarded comment. yeah the ecu goes into "safe" mode when you hit the high octane switch when you DONT HAVE HIGH OCTANE IN THE TANK.... thats what it does, dont hit the swich if you dont have the gas. and for that reason you shouldnt knock the ecus preformance because u miss use it.

Let's get something straight here. I have nothing bad to say about stage 2. If you have it , and you like it, good for you. It's a great kit and I think it is cool that a manufacturer will support something like that. But, in my opinion, I'd rather open my wallet for other stuff. Like chassis work to put the power down better? I'm all done looking for horsepower, the car's chassis needs some buttoning down. Like I said before, there is always a car out there faster than yours.
If I want to runs 10"s, I'll ride my bike. I'd hate to see SRT owners turn into the Mustang owners of the Eighty's and Ninety's. (no offense directed at Ford owners) That is a $20,000 car with $20,000 in mods.
