My Poor Poor SRT
Well, almost 2.5 months later my newly nicknamed SRT (by the body shop) "the little car that could" just can't get itself back together. The hood is holding everything up. Without the hood the rest of the painting can't be done and they can't be sure that the frame is perfect. The dimensions are there. But will the hood fit. So here's a few pix of my baby.

He's outside now. The door had to be rebent because of the ******* emergency crews and part of it needed to be re-done (along with a piece by the antenna where the inertia caused a dent). Oh and NO he doesn't stay outside all the time. Only during the day he's put in the shop at night.

Here's his new frame, and tie bar, along with all his insides just hanging out waiting to be reconnected. He runs and drives, thats not a problem at all. Everything under the hood is okay for the most part, just not put together because of the stupid hood.
FRAME BEFORE:
I know you guys aren't frame experts, and most all of you probably have never even seen the frame of this car, and I pray you never have to. That piece that was painted black was ripped almost completely off the car. The K-frame (suspension) was bent. And the rails that ride up were pushed up and in by the force of the crash. This is what it looked like before the frame work

FRAME AFTER: And here's what he looks like now. All new frame and tie bars, freshly welded and sitting pretty waiting for parts to be put on.

Here's a couple pictures of the new fender and new front bumper that just got painted and again...are waiting to be put on.

The rims, as stated by FedEx's online tracking left southern RI at 4:30 this morning for my body shop. What time they get there, I'll never know. Hopefully today, because thats one less thing that needs to be worried about.
The hood, I have no idea where it is. The tracking site for All States World is so slow its not even funny...so I don't know what to do.
I wont be getting him back this week. [&o] Hopefully by Christmas...that'll be the best present ever
I didn't go into too much detail about it all. So if you have anymore questions feel free to post them and I'll answer them as best I can.

I need back surgery but I have to put it off as long as I can (said the doctor) BLAH! So that means pain until I'm at least 25 (6 years). I had my foot surgery my foots okay, but the whole right side of my body is all messed up...I don't walk right anymore.
Its my own fault. (well this accident is) the first one wasn't.

I know how you feel, I'm still feeling pain from motorcycle accidents over 25 years ago....and the pain gets worse with age!!
Put off back surgery as long as you can..everyone that I've talked to that's had it says that you are never the same again. I'm lucky my knee dosen't hurt from surgery but it cracks and pops like u wouldn't believe when I try to get up from the ground. I'm feelin older and older each day!

I have 6 dried discs, A bulging disc, a Protruding disc, a torn L5-S1 and a dislocated Sacroillac joint (two bones above your tailbone). My right leg is 1.5" shorter than my left. My knee won't bend straight and my pelvis is twisted and raised on the right side.
Sucks that I'm only 19 but I deal with it each and every day....Surgery well....eventually I guess. I actually need three surgeries, the one on my sacroilliac joint can be done now...so I'd like to get my legs even first and put the rest off as long as I can I guess. No one will touch me I'm too young.

my uncle, quite a few years ago, was riding his motorcycle, and hit a deer. His shoulder is completely disconnected, and has been since that accident. I guess that doesn't bother him so much as some back problems he got in the army, but it's kinda weird. Though it does let him shoot his .450 alaskan rifle(nicknamed boomer) without much trouble.
