MY BOOST GAUGE JUMPED FROM 12 TO 15 WITH NO MOD NORMAL?
when i had 12 to 500 miles my boost gauge only got to 12 psi but now i got high 500 miles and its jumping to 15 psi is this normal? and will it get higher. And sometimes it hits 12psi and while im still gaining speed the boost drops slowly is this normal?
It's probably out of calibration, those boost gauges are not that reliable. I had to replace mine already. Someone else on the forum had the same problem. Does the needle rest on the Zero when the engine is off? If it doesnt, thats most likely the problem. Is it really cold out? That will affect boost to some extent also. Good Luck
yeah it does sit at zero and it is prety cold out now to thank you for your reply but to my other question is that normal for it to gain boost with no mods it pushes 15 every time now and will it just get better as i break it in more?
the BOV (if you are going Mopar) is a noise item... not real functional gains except sound...
doesn't the car create more boost (the PCM "opens" up) after ~1500 miles or so... I am pretty sure that happened...

that sounds normal to me... your ecu wont let u get full boost when your suppost to be breaking in your engine. 15psi is normal for stock in not cold weather.

It sounds fairly normal, the change in boost and the slow bleed off of pressure as you get closer to your rev limit. The weather can have a very big impact on your cars performance and it's boost, so don't worry too much yet.
