i run the bfgs also. although now i'm going to try a different tire, but they worked very well for me when i did use them. i have heard great things also about those new mt's....some of the mustang guys are using them and say that they grip as good as a slick (similar 60's).

Usually it's the old farts like me that resist change and trying new technology. PSI Chick is showing some forward thinking! Everyone else will be looking at her tail lights. BFGs are great tires but are yesterday's technology. Trust me, these new Mickey Thompsons hook up hard. I did a dry burnout with them and they hooked so well, even cold, that they pushed my locked up front tires like a snowplow. It made for some interesting black marks.

great to hear about the mt's!

i'm actually undecided as to which tire i'm going to use. i'm really tempted to get those new mt's, i keep hearing such good things about them, and if 8 and 9 second mustangs we know use them and think they're great, i know they would be good for me as well. the other options is that i'm actually working with m&h tires right now to get a new tire made for srt's in a 25x7.5R15, which would fit a 6.5" rim perfectly and not require spacers, is made out of the same compound as his cheater slicks, and is dot legal for street events. if this goes through, i will be using the m&h's, but if not i'm definetly getting the mt's. and right now it's not looking good for the m&h's....
