Default Check valve fix

Okay guys i ordered myself the suggested check valve off the internet....im going to lowes to get the barbs for it and should already have the line.....MY QUESTION

In the how to: it says the correct order should be....pcv>occ> check valve> intake manifold...

i guess thats pretty straight forward but i was wondering why i bought 4 foot of vaccum line when it goes in between my occ and the intake manifold (only about 1ft of line)...

guess i just made the dumb decision is all..my bad lol...

its better to have more line than not enough.the stock line that runs from the pcv, kind of weaves around down where it connects to the intake manifold. i origionally replaced all of this, so i did use about 4ft of line. however, it was a pain to keep it from touching and melting against things. so i replaced the stock line. if you keep the stock line and just tie into it at the end to put the occ near the battery tray (great place to mount it if you have an intake), youll only need a foot or two. but the line is cheap so it wont hurt to have some extra left over.

i dont have a check valve installed, i feel that the occ is sealed and thats sufficient enough. but i guess a check will just add some assurance for you.

Update!! I installed the check valve and it seems to be doing its job....I installed it after the occ located next to my battery tray just like recommended (so that 4ft of line i bought was a waste but id like to have some spare around...) actually on a lesser note i think i might replace the stock hose/pipe anyway and wouldve done it but i couldnt get a socket onto that fuel rail barb...(didnt have the tools at the time)

anyways UPDATE: the check valve (could just be in my head but i dont think so...) has allowed my boost gauge to be a lil more steady...the needle still flutters at wot....but at all other speeds and throttles ive noticed the needle is more steady....
HARD TO TELL if I gained any boost or closed up a leak from that due to my wastegate and boost controller....BUT im 98% positive i did.....

thanx for the great write up on the check valve whoever wrote the how to:
