i ordered a boost controller it says connect one tube to the pressure side of the system and the other to the wastegate actuator i have stock evrything do i even have a wastegate actuator? i dont really know to much about turbo cars iv learned a little bit in the past month thanks to srtforum thanx.

 

Yep, it's right on top of the turbo and should very closely resemble the one you bought.

 

by your #4 wire look back over your turbo. if u need to look at a part web site and look up wastegate. if u dont know much about turbos then watch yourself with turning up the boost.

 

Yeah, - don't - by any means - boost over 18 lbs, 17 to be safe. I don't know if the stock waste gate is going to work well(question for the pro's). But definitely don't boost over 17 or 18 if you are able. The fuel system needs modification to push any harder, and your injectors will start to limit you. Not going over 17.5 = No bang; from what I hear...

 

Redline what year is your car? I have an '05 and it didnt take very well with the boost controller. I just took it back off on Monday. I had it set to 15psi and it would give me a check engine light and not give any power over 4000 rpm's. After messing with it for 2 weeks it came back off. The code it gives me is P1188 =- partial throttle overboost this happened with both settings 18psi and 15psi so if you have an '05 and it happens you will know what is going on.
