Does any one know where i can get a used or refurbished transmission besides ebay?

 

You can go on-line and look at junkyard inventories on it and find some prices and availability there...

I wanna say it is call autopart.com, but I havent been there in a while.

 

type in rebuilt srt-4 transmissions on google....theres some places that will take your old tranny and replace all the internals with shot-peened parts...some even like to call it a stage 1 transmission or something...

 

Hmm, mine is definitly not repairable, the 3rd gear synchro blew up and put 2 holes in the transmission case

 

Ouch...in that case i would say ur cheapest bet would be a junkyard...

you can go to www.junkyarddog.com and register for free or whatever...tell em what part you want...(tranny course) and it sends the request to all their junkyards registered at that website...really handy...you should be able to find plenty there...

the only problem with this is you cant really see the condition of what ur buying unless you request the junkyard send you pictures...

i used junkyarddog to get me a srt-4 speedometer cluster for my 05 sxt...

 

oh and the plastic face was cracke on the cluster and some of the mounting pegs were broke..it was in poor condition and i paid like 200 sumthing for it....made me mad...definately try to request pics or get a warrany contract a return policy or sumthing...

 

Ok thanks ill give that a shot, i deffinitly dont have the $4000 they told me for a brand new one
